Simmons

History of Simmons can be chased from the Simmons Patternshop in 1905 which was located in Union Street in Coventry. Harry Simmons is the founder.

In 1981 Simmons Mouldings was established as a specialist Solid Epoxy Resin casting business for laboratory worktops.

Organizations throughout Europe and the rest of the world turn to Simmons to provide the right solution to their benchtop and sink top needs. Laboratories in over 30 countries now rely on Simmons for dependable performance, year after year.

About Epoxy Resin

Epoxy Resin is the modern laboratory benchtop material that offers a superb combination of features and benefits. It is durable, extremely chemical and stain resistant, mechanically strong, easily cleaned and decontaminated and exhibits good fire resistance and fire propagation properties.

As cast by Simmons it is a solid material that cannot delaminate and has the same properties throughout its entire thickness. It is molded into a wide range of components of different sizes to cater for the most exacting of laboratory specifications, and is available in a range of subtle and aesthetically pleasing colors.

These material qualities are supplemented by more than 20 years of experience of accurately casting and fabricating Epoxy Resin in Simmons' Coventry factory using programmable saws and CNC's to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Sink

A range of Epoxy Resin sinks for fitment to Simmons' own Epoxy Resin benchtops or supplied loose for fitment to benchtops in other materials. Sinks are available in Simmons' standard colours of Grey, White and Ivory as well as in colours designed to complement Trespa Toplab worktops.

Fume Cupboard Bases

Epoxy Resin has a proven history as an extremely durable material for fume cupboard bases. Outstanding chemical resistance and mechanical strength enable it to withstand the harsh environments routinely encountered within fume cupboards.

In hostile fume cupboard environments the walls, roof and baffles may come under chemical attack. Simmons can provide lining panels made from solid 6mm thick Epoxy Resin sheet to provide the necessary resilience.

Linings can be supplied as suitably shaped individual flat panels with appropriate cut-outs and fixing mounts. Alternatively Simmons can supply a fully assembled coved corner chamber constructed around a standard base
